The real owners of the house should show the ownership papers/sale agreement of the rental house to the tenants and make sure they pay the rent to them directly. I would never have taken on a pushy "letting agent". You can't trust anyone else when it comes to money.

I had a bad relationship with food in my teens and earjy twenties but I overcame it and got married and have 4 wonderful children,2sons and 2 daughters and I’ve always been aware with my daughters watching them bringing them up telling them they are beautiful and ate enough and told them my story thankfully they love food and are gorgeous girls and my sons to it affects boys and men to try to get help anyone suffering as life can and is beautiful ❤

If I was the landlord, I would have told the tenants not to pay the leasing agent and not to pay me either until the situation was sorted out. It’s not as if the landlord is getting paid anyway and once the tenants find out the leasing agent doesn’t have the legal right to collect the money, why should the tenants pay them?
